What to bring to the Bankruptcy Appointment

Whether your appointment is in-person, via zoom, or the telephone, you will need some basic information so we can have a fruitful discussion and make a plan to relieve your debt stress.

Please know or have the following information available during our appointment together:

FOR INDIVIDUALS:

  • List of all creditors (specific amount owed is not all that important but a general idea is helpful);
  • List of all assets, such as real property (houses and land); vehicles, valuable personal property such as coin collections, etc;
  • Last date of use of each credit card;
  • Any large purchases made within the last 12 months;
  • Any contracts you have co-signed on;
  • The list of people you provide support for (children, college aged children, elderly parents);
  • Information on any property you have sold within the last 4 years;
  • Last filed tax return if you have filed or required to file in the last 3 years.

FOR BUSINESSES:

  • Specific information regarding business entity (such as Corp, LLC, etc);
  • The corporate book and meeting minutes;
  • A copy of the last two years of Profit and Loss;
  • List of employees;
  • List of all creditors (specific amount owed is not all that important but a general idea is helpful);
  • List of all assets, such as real property (houses and land); vehicles, valuable personal property that the business owns;
  • Last date of use of each business credit card;
  • Any large purchases made within the last 12 months;
  • Any contracts you have personally guaranteed;
  • Information on any property you have sold within the last 4 years
